NOTES ON PRICING

2019 prices will be announced late winter 2018.

Our prices are based on double occupancy (priced per person), quoted in Canadian dollars, and subject to 5% Federal Goods and Services Tax (GST). All payments must be made in Canadian dollars, by cheque or credit card. All prices are subject to change without notice.

*a floatplane surcharge will be added to all Gwaii Haanas expeditions for our fly-in/fly-out scenic De Havilland Beaver floatplane portion of the expedition. Dollar amount to be announced late winter 2018.

If you are interested in a departure or region without availability, please let us know if you would like to be added to our waitlist in the chance of a cancellation.

We are thrilled to release our 2019 expedition schedule earlier than ever! With many people planning their expeditions well ahead of time (go, early birds!), we decided it was time to announce our sailing schedule for next year.

In addition to our annual favourites of Haida Gwaii and the Great Bear Rainforest, each with longer seasons every year, we have some exciting regions returning to the roster! We continue to add new areas of exploration along the BC coast, as well give some areas a rest to later come back with fresh eyes.

After taking a year off, we’ll be returning to the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve and the Broken Group Islands.  We’ll be visiting earlier than in years past to bear witness to the phenomenon of the herring spawn that takes place late-March/early-April, as well as the Grey whale migration occurring around the same time. Learn about the ancient civilizations of the Nuu-Chah-Nulth First Nations and the once-bustling metropolis of the thriving coastal communities.

We’ll be returning to Northern Vancouver Island’s Johnstone Strait and Blackfish Sound for all of the whale lovers out there. Just as in 2018, we’ll be offering spring and fall expeditions, both excellent times to view the northern resident killer whales, humpbacks, and other marine mammals such as Pacific white-sided dolphins, sea lions, seals, and so much more! Typically a very busy place in the summer, we choose to visit this region when there is less boat traffic on the water, allowing a more remote and intimate experience for our guests onboard the Passing Cloud.

We finish off our 2019 season in the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve to catch the tail end of the southern resident killer whale-watching season, and a taste of the Salish Sea, a candidate for a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We look forward to exploring further into some of our favourite places, and as always, discovering new nooks and hideaways that reveal the abundances of natural and cultural history along the BC Coast. We’re excited to welcome you aboard the Passing Cloud on 2019!
