“Sharing food with another human being is an intimate act that should not be indulged in lightly.” – M.F.K. Fisher
For Graham, food and community go hand in hand. He loves to bring people together to talk, to laugh, and to share great food. Sailing the British Columbia coast aboard Passing Cloud provides intimate spaces and beautiful natural settings to do just that. Graham started his cooking career early, working in a hotel kitchen during high school in his hometown of Thunder Bay. After a lengthy departure from kitchens to pursue education, travel, and the world of offices, Graham returned to the culinary field in 2008, cooking with chef Andrea Carlson at Bishop’s Restaurant in Vancouver. Since then, Graham has cooked in Vancouver restaurants, including Burdock & Co., Fuel, Re-Fuel, and Harvest Community Foods, and he has taken his love of food on the road, cooking in the fine-dining scene in Las Vegas. Graham is the founder and executive chef of dish’ED, a pro-am culinary event in Vancouver dedicated to supporting charity, and he sits on the board of directors of Growing Chefs, a Vancouver-based non-profit that sends chefs to elementary school classes to teach children about growing and cooking their own food. In the off season, you might find Graham skate skiing in the mountains, running Vancouver’s seawall, or working the line at Burdock & Co. and Harvest Community Foods.
