As many of you know, Outer Shores Expeditions has always been committed to protecting the incredible marine environments we explore. Today, I’m thrilled to announce the launch of the Ocean Conservation, Education, and Nearshore Science (OCEaNS) Fund – a major step forward in our commitment to ocean conservation.
Starting in 2025, in addition to our expeditions fees, we will begin adding a conservation contribution of $200/guest, which will automatically be transferred to the OCEaNS Fund. That means every Outer Shores voyage becomes a direct contribution to ocean science, education, and conservation efforts on the beautiful BC coast.
These projects can range from critical scientific research (think grad student opportunities!) to on-the-ground restoration initiatives and educational programs for coastal communities.
And the best part? You’ll be directly connected to the change you’re making. Funded projects will provide regular updates, so you can see the tangible results of your contribution.
Of course, if you want to go above and beyond your expedition fees, you can also make direct donations to the OCEaNS Fund, with the option to choose specific projects you care most about. This is your chance to be an active player in protecting and learning about our oceans!
Together, let’s make every Outer Shores Expeditions voyage an adventure for both discovery and positive impact. This is the vision that’s driven us since day one, and with the OCEaNS Fund, we’re turning it into reality.
